BE A VOLUNTEER AT WHARFEDALE RUFC

Successful rugby clubs are more than just what happens on the pitch. Players and coaches are vitally important but so are the many dedicated volunteers who work hard behind the scenes to help our club function.

As with all sports club, we rely heavily on volunteers – people who give their time in all sorts of ways to enable the club to continue its activities and fulfil its objectives. There are many ways in which players, supporters and parents can all help in driving the club forward.

Help is always needed in most areas of the club, but we are especially looking for individuals to get involved in:

  • Club Membership – help manage the club membership database.
  • Website and other social media platforms – manage and lead on website etc content/point of contact
  • Friday Gang – spare a few hours in the morning to cut the grass, white line marking, maintenance jobs
  • Matchday Saturdays – help on the gate, selling raffle tickets, carparking

Being involved doesn’t require a huge time commitment it just requires people who are willing to roll up their sleeves, spare sometime and have a go for your club!

If you think you can contribute or would like to find out more about what’s involved please approach any of our committee members or contact:

Philip Eddlestone hon.sec@wharfedalerufc.co.uk 07776 202531

John Sykes wharfedalehands@gmail.com 07889 815899

and we would be more than happy to discuss potential roles.

Our thanks in anticipation.
