On a typically murky West Yorkshire autumn afternoon the mist shrouded slopes of upper Hipperholme greeted the Dalesmen on their third outing of this season.
Old Brods were exactly as we expected and never took a backward step. Playing against the slope it was second row Rymer who crossed the try line to open the scoring. Today’s Skipper, Benson, added another try after a long spell of forward pressure.
The half time score was 0 -10.
The Greens were soon back on the offensive with Torres scoring and Rhodes converting.
Benson, enjoying the open spaces and the down hill track galloped over and soon repeated this with a third following shortly after.
Prop Hirst powered over for his try.
Mason was the next to score and the final try of the afternoon was once again Captain Benson.
An eight try haul with Rhodes taking extras to five of them.
