The fourth outing of the season saw The Thirds head over to Yarnbury to face their Third team.
Both teams came together before the game to join in a ceremony of Remberence for Yarnburys Fallen.
The Greens hit the ground running when Josh Walker, after a 4 year absence, tore down the wing to open the scoring, Yarnbury answered quickly with a converted try.
Wharfedale winger George Walker scored with Smith taking the extras.
Once again the attacking Yarnbury side continued with their pressure and took the score line to 24 -12 at the half.
This pressure continued into the second half with another converted try.
Steading the ship Sam Smith powered over to score an unconverted try.
Yarnbury then took the next three scores, two unconverted tries and a penalty, however it was Captain Dan Benson who took the last points of the day bringing the Final score to 44 -22.
A great display of good hard rugby played in good spirits saw both sides looking forward to the new year rematch at the Avenue.
As mentioned earlier Josh Walker returned after a Four year break We also welcome back, in the green corner…… Dan Fletcher.
The management team’s Jim mason gave a typical display of hard graft on his return from Injury, and last but not least seasoned campaigner JD took to the pitch
