We are fortunate to be located right in the very heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, based in Threshfield at ‘The Avenue’.
John Inverdale from the Daily Telegraph wrote – “To be among a large crowd at a National League match at Wharfedale Rugby Club . . . . was to have found sporting nirvana. If there’s a more wonderful sporting venue in the country for serious competitive sport, I’ve yet to visit it.”

Sam Wheeler from the Yorkshire Post wrote – “If there is a more pleasant experience in Yorkshire rugby union than an afternoon at Wharfedale, it keeps its light hidden under a bushel. Threshfield offers a breathtaking setting in the Dales, a homely, friendly club and an enterprising team.
Wharfedale provide entertainment intentionally, by playing a delightful brand of 15-man rugby: forwards and back always look to keep the ball alive in the tackle, like a rustic, bargain-basement version of Toulouse.”
