Wharfedale juniors held their annual junior presentation evening last night with around 140 young people in attendence, plus caoches and some parents leading to a busy clubhouse. Once again it was extremely well organised by Cathy Peel, along with others. The evening was MC’d by the Colts coach and M&J secretary Warren Beecroft.

There was 1 oversight on the evening when we didn’t announce or present the Peter Hartley award to the team with best overall playing record for the season. This once again for the 3rd year running went to the u16s, which is an outstanding effort by both the players and coaching team so congratulations to all involved, and apologies for this not being presented last night.
Also, we, as a M&J section would like to give our thanks to John Brewster (who also heads up the u16s back room staff) for the physio and general medical support he has given to numerous players from all different age groups over the season, it’s greatly appreciated.
Thanks also went to Andy Snell who is stepping down as Junior fixture secretary at the end of the season having done a fantastic job for the past few years. He is being ably replaced by Rebecca Reynolds who has been mini fixture secretary, so she knows what she’s letting herself in for.
