Sunday 25 February - Wharfedale U16s Rugby Festival - KO at 12.00hrs.....

Yorkshire Rugby

Yorkshire Men took on Cheshire Men last Saturday at Doncaster RFU and there were 4 of Wharfedale’s finest wearing the white rose. Rob Baldwin and Oscar Canny started the match and both were influential in establishing a strong lead. Off the bench, in the second half, Sam Gaudie and Madison Hunting, kept the pressure on and Yorkshire ran out comfortable winners. It was also good to see Dan Scarborough (ex-Wharfedale and England) coaching Yorkshire.

Next week sees the big Battle of the Roses for the men with a trip to Twickenham the reward for the winners when Yorkshire take on Lancashire.  Both counties have played 2 and won 2 and stand on 10 points; Yorkshire have a much superior points difference. The game is at Sedgley Park on Saturday 20th May at 3pm. Admission is £10 for Adults (Concessions £5). Children (U16) are free. The address for Satnavs is Park Lane, Whitefield, Manchester, Lancashire, M45 7DZ.

The lads always appreciate support from the Faithful and would be greatly encouraged to see a good turn out from t’Dale.
