‘Wharfedale is a Brilliant Club’ says Jon Skurr

Yes – we all know that – and now readers of The Rugby Paper know it as well, following a profile of our forwards/defence coach Jon Skurr in the 3 January edition of TRP.

The article focuses on Jon’s playing career with Wakefield, Sedgley Park and Rotherham, including winning the 2002 Middlesex Sevens with a Bradford Bulls RL squad that included Jon Feeley and Robbie Paul when cross-code matches were all the rage. It also traces Jon’s coaching career with Ireland men’s and women’s 7s teams and then Yorkshire before being persuaded to join up with Jon Feeley again at Wharfedale in 2018.
