Mini & Juniors Return to Rugby – Information for Parents & Carers

In line with the RFU Return to Rugby Roadmap, M&J training is re-starting. I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the basic steps to take to ensure that everyone stays safe.

Registration
Please allow plenty of time for registration & observe social distancing, 1m plus (preferably 2m) in and around the Clubhouse & grounds.

  • The wearing of masks is encouraged.
  • Sanitise hands on entry to & exit from the Clubhouse.
  • Follow any signage and directions.
  • Avoid touching your face particularly nose, eyes or mouth.
  • Cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing. Immediately dispose of tissues safely & sanitise hands again.
  • Avoid sharing pens etc.

Training Sessions
Please observe social distancing, 1m plus (preferably 2m) in and around the Clubhouse & grounds to & from the training session.

  • Follow any signage and directions.
  • Cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing. Immediately dispose of tissues safely & sanitise hands again.
  • Sanitise hands on arrival & departure from the training session.
  • All players must register attendance by either written log or QR code (when available).
  • All players will have a non- contact temperature check before play.
  • Any player with an elevated temperature will not be allowed to participate & be quarantined pending departure.
  • Any player suffering from rhinitis (runny nose) should consider absenting themselves from the session until recovered.

On field hygiene is important too.

  • Avoid touching your face particularly nose, eyes or mouth.
  • Bring your own water bottle.
  • Do NOT share or drink from someone else’s water bottle.
  • Do NOT remove your mouthguard unless you can wash or sanitise your hands. Store mouthguards in the appropriate container.
  • Do NOT put them down on surfaces.
  • Do NOT share equipment or kit (e.g. sock tape) unless instructed by your coach.
  • Coaches will have cleaning & sanitising arrangements in place for specified equipment.
  • Coaches will provide further guidance & instructions on the pitches. Please ensure these are followed.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,

John Sykes – WRUFC Health & Safety Officer.
