An essential part of the maintenance of our rugby pitches is not only the cutting of the grass but also the collection and removal of the grass cuttings. The latter is carried out with the use of a grass collector. However, this week an inspection of the equipment found that some welding was required as a matter of urgency in order that the equipment could be safely used and the pitches remain available for use.
Richard Walker, a blacksmith located in Grassington, was contacted and was able to carry out the necessary welding work immediately, thus ensuring that we were able to maintain our pitches to to a playable standard. We really appreciate Richard’s assistance for which we are most grateful.
