Green Machine Back in Action!

It has been great to see so many back on the pitch as we return to rugby activity. The seniors started training on 30 March and have had 30-40 out training each evening, with Chris Black reportedly delighted at the condition of the lads who have generally all been working hard on their own; DoR Rob Baldwin reports that there will be some serious competition for 1st XV shirts when we get started for real. Meanwhile, the juniors and the girls’ teams have also had really good numbers and the minis were so keen to get back that they started on Easter Day – apologies to all those who should have been cooking Sunday lunch!! The enthusiasm and the dedication of our players all the way through the club is tangible validation of why we all do what we do and of the special obligation we have to our community.

Many thanks to all the coaches and medical staff who have made return to rugby possible – and a particular thanks to our age grade coaches for their enthusiasm and commitment to keeping the young people of the Dale active and energised.

The future is green! Here are just a few photos of our keen youngsters delighted to be back on the pitch….
