Club News

Please see the following updates & arrangements  regarding COVID-19.

Track & Trace

With effect from Tuesday the 22nd of September 2020 the club must comply with Government instructions to display a unique NHS COVID-19 QR Code on its premises. This is used in conjunction with the NHS smart phone app to register attendance at the Club. In the event of someone testing positive for COVID-19 infection the QR  record will then be used by Track & Trace to identify possible contacts. This method can be used instead of  recording attendance on paper as has been the case so far.

So, …

In line with the RFU Return to Rugby Roadmap, M&J training is re-starting. I want to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the basic steps to take to ensure that everyone stays safe.

Registration
Please allow plenty of time for registration & observe social distancing, 1m plus (preferably 2m) in and around the Clubhouse & grounds.

  • The wearing of masks is encouraged.
  • Sanitise hands on entry to & exit from the Clubhouse.
  • Follow any signage and directions.
  • Avoid touching your face particularly nose, eyes or mouth.
  • Cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing. Immediately dispose of tissues safely &

We would like to thank the trusty band of supporters who turned out yesterday, in order to carry out various tasks in advance of the new season.

The weather, although not overly hot, was somewhat better than on the previous occasion!

Thank you again…

 …

We are very aware of the need to to ensure that the environment is as safe as possible for all of us when we are dealing with the registration, etc., of the Mini and Junior players on the dates and times advised in our earlier message. As a result we request that everyone involved does their very best to comply with the following:

  • Use the one-way system within the clubhouse
  • Wear a suitable face mask when within the clubhouse
  • Enter your name and contact telephone number in the register of attendees
  • Maintain the 2 metre social distance both when queuing
Hopefully everyone has come through ‘lock down’ and is ready to start some form of rugby.

Up until very recently no one has had a clue what we are going to be able to do regards training/playing, but things have become clearer in the past week or 2, hence we will be able start non-contact rugby in September and below are the dates we plan to start training and player registration (click here for more details).
