Last Saturday’s cracking win was the result of a consolidated improvement by the Green Machine. The players and coaches all thanked the continued support of the faithful, especially those who travelled to Sedgley the week before.
This week it is time to head up the A1 into the wilds of Tyneside (the ground is actually on the banks of a tributary of the Tyne – the River Derwent) to play old friends Blaydon. Don’t be fooled by their league position; Blaydon at their Crow Trees ground are always a difficult team to get a result against. The forecast for Blaydon on Saturday is a balmy 52F; don’t be fooled by this either and take an extra layer.
The Foresters are also travelling North on Saturday to play Blaydon Georgians. It promises to be a great day of rugby; both teams enjoy playing open attacking rugby which is a pleasure to watch.
1st Team KO is 2pm; the Foresters have usually kicked off a fraction earlier and TBC.
Address for Satnavs Blaydon RFC, Crow Trees, Hexham Road, Swalwell, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE16 3BN
