Selby arrived at Wharfedale with only nine men but Wharfedale for the first time had more than enough players, so were able to supply 5 players to bring the numbers up. P Marklew, B Heyes, B Rymer, J Breare and A Birkby all played a good game for Selby.
A good solid encounter was played out with Wharfedale off to a good start and were 3 tries up in 20 minutes. Selby then settled in and got on the scoreboard with a converted try. Wharfedale finished the half with another try.
The second half saw Selby have a good period of pressure and solid running earning them their second converted try. As the game entered the final quarter, Wharfedale sealed the victory with 4 more tries.
