Wharfedale 4th XV 21 – 52 Heath 2nd XV

Wharfedale arrived at Heath with twelve men so Heath obliged by filling the empty shirts.
Heath were soon on the score board as their speedy and well drilled backs outpaced the Wharfedale defence. After shipping three tries in the opening fifteen minutes, Wharfedale’s forwards began to dominate the scrum area and good line out ball gave them confidence to up their game. A good rolling maul saw Jim Bowers in for a try. Heath continued to use their superior backs to keep their score climbing, but Wharfedale continued to use their forward strengths and Jim Bowers got his second try.
In the second half Wharfedale were reduced to fourteen men through injuries, but soldiered on undeterred. Their third try coming from a Heath player.
Jonathan Davies kicked all 3 conversions.
