Michael Harrison

November 5th, 2018 Comments off

When Clarty stepped down as Chairman of Rugby at the end of last season, we undertook a collection by way of testimonial for his remarkable services to the club. A silver salver was commissioned to recognise 35 years as Chairman of Rugby and a sum of money raised to send him and Christine on a well-deserved holiday. This was just before his serious accident in May, from which he is now recovering.

Here is Michael with the salver which was to be presented to him at the club dinner which he couldn’t attend as it took place the day after his accident.

Michael and Christine would like to thank members very much indeed for their generous contributions to the fund and they will subsequently be taking a break as soon as he is medically able.

We’re in a bit of hot water ….

October 22nd, 2018 Comments off

To be truthful, we are desperately short of hot water as one of the two changing room boilers has been given a red card by the assessor and the other boiler is on a yellow.

For many years the 200 Club has been raising money for just such an emergency but with a hefty replacement cost for two new boilers we could do with more followers to play our little lottery game.

The beauty of the 200 Club is that as a member you can win more than your annual subscription which is only £18 a year.

The prize winners are announced every 3 months, although, there is actually a draw every month of the year and each month there are three prizes: one of £40, one of £20 and one of £10. Also, every quarter there is an additional prize of £100.

The next results will be published in December – you could be a winner and your contribution will, hopefully, help keep our boys clean and warm.

If you would like to join us please contact Christine Harrison or Jennie Whiteley by e-mail at Jenniewhiteley0@gmail.com or by telephone to Jennie on 01756 720617 or 07786 398396.
